I am proud to have grown up in southern California, an area that offers so many
opportunities to experience diversity. When I moved to Spokane in 1990, I realized my
destiny was to be a social worker; therefore I went back to school for my Masters in
Social Work. Currently, I am the executive director of Coalition of Responsible
Disabled (CORD); a center for independent living in Spokane. I love the challenge of
advocating for civil rights as well as educate folks about disabilities from a local
to a national level. The job often seems never ending.
I have been married to Dwight since 1994. We love to travel, enjoy music, and spend
quality time with family and friends.
